At Noah Chemicals, the satisfaction of our clients has always been our highest priority. We adhere closely to the Noah Standard – a blueprint of guiding principles that drives every aspect of our business, from the quality of our products to the dedication of our team. Established over 40 years ago, the Noah Standard consists of five core tenets: Trusted Partners, Innovation and Expertise, Results Driven, Accountability and Quality at our Core.
This article discusses our first Noah Chemicals Standard, Trusted Partners: what it means to us, how we approach our partnerships with our clients, and a real-world example of our ethos at work.
What Does Trusted Partners Mean to Us?
Noah Chemicals’ website is so much more than just a traditional web storefront. Our mission has never been simply to place chemicals online for people to purchase anonymously with a click. We’re dedicated to developing a relationship with our customers – ensuring that they understand exactly what they’re buying and then delivering exactly what they expect. As a result, we’re able to provide custom, proven solutions rather than cookie-cutter products that may or may not accurately reflect a client’s unique and specific requirements. We do this because we know that if the chemicals we sell don’t work for a client, we’re likely to lose their trust (and, as a result, their business).
How Do We Approach Our Partnerships with Our Clients?
Noah Chemicals has created a high-touch system of personal attention and involvement that begins with the very first introduction to achieve the goal of a trusted partnership. Upon receiving an email, chat message or call from a prospective client, one of our customer service representatives will engage with that client, capturing their basic information. From there, a member of the sales team will contact the customer, drilling down on the specifics of their requirements and asking pertinent questions.
Once the foundation for a solid partnership is established, we rely on our decades of innovation and expertise (in the form of strategy, insight, troubleshooting, and research) to strengthen the client connection. Customers can collaborate directly with our chemical team for further assistance; our chief chemist is even available for consultation and information exchange if necessary. Noah Chemical’s purchasing team may also join the conversation should there be questions regarding finding a given chemical.
Our partnership doesn’t end once a sale is made, either. We continue to evolve with our customers, stretching to accommodate changes in need, workflow, and dynamic. It’s the reason our customer loyalty metrics are so high and why some of our clients have been with us for over 40 years!
BASF: A Case Study in Trust
A closer look at one of our longstanding partnerships underscores the emphasis that we place on earning – and maintaining – our customers’ trust. Noah Chemicals forged a partnership many years ago with Engelhard Corporation, a small New Jersey-based business specializing in platinum, palladium, rhodium, and other precious metals which made it a leading source for catalytic converter production. Over time, our partnership with Engelhard became so strong that if a member of their team called us in the morning requesting chemicals, we would ship them their prepackaged raw materials that very afternoon – the very definition of white-glove service.
In 2006, Engelhard was acquired by BASF, a multinational corporation and one of the world’s largest chemical producers. The original Engelhard team stayed in place at BASF and continued to work with Noah Chemicals, spreading the word to their new colleagues about the services we provided and the trust we had built with them. Over time, BASF has counted on us to fulfill more and more of their requests; today, even offices that aren’t currently buying products from us know that we will be ready to provide them with whatever they require if and when the need arises. While our influence within BASF has grown, one thing has stayed constant – our dedication to one-on-one service and in a partnership that stands the test of time.
