Chemicals and Engineering the Future of Electric Vehicles

Sparking the Next Generation of Transportation

Accountability is a key principle of the Noah Standard; it guides every aspect of the work that we do and the partnerships that we maintain. Part of our commitment to accountability includes a steadfast dedication to environmental sustainability, and to protecting and preserving the world around us. From making our warehouse energy-efficient to researching new technologies that utilize green materials and methods of production, the team at Noah Chemicals work hard to advance eco-friendly ideas while also ensuring that we minimize our environmental footprint.

Electric Vehicles: The Way Forward with Noah Chemicals

Many clients rely on Noah Chemicals to develop unique solutions and provide them with a product that is tailor-made for their specific purposes – and the Electric Vehicle industry is no different in that regard. One of our EV partners recently came to us with a finished product and asked our R&D team to reverse engineer it to determine how it was made. Afterwards, they commissioned us to make more of the product for them. Meeting these types of challenges, especially in industries that promote environmental sustainability, is one of the many aspects of our work that make us so proud of what we do.

Driving a Greener World

Electric vehicles (EVs) are steadily growing in popularity throughout the world. According to a recent report, global sales of electric cars grew by over 40% in 2020 alone, and that number is expected to continue to increase over the coming years. A critical element in the success of the electric vehicles industry lies in the ability of manufacturers to develop a powerful car battery that charges quickly and retains its capacity for long durations.

Noah supplies zirconium compounds that are used as the electrodes. There are two metal conductors on electric vehicle batteries, one of which is depleted in electrons and the other, which is charged with electrons. These electrodes need to be extremely resistant, not only to electrical charges but also to acids and other exterior conditions. Zirconium is a very resilient metal and lends itself to longevity which is exactly the kind of material you would want on car battery terminals.

Creativity in Engineering

In a recent article, we discussed Noah’s focus on supplying the materials used in cutting-edge (and earth-friendly) drone light show technology. We’re also contributing to an industry that is becoming increasingly green: car manufacturing. Noah provides resources that are used in the production of catalytic converters, for example, which work to reduce harmful emissions from car exhaust.

We believe that the future of automobiles lies beyond traditional fuel-powered engines, and we’re actively playing a role in making that future a reality. To connect with our team for your chemical needs or to learn more about how we support the EV industry , please contact us.
